Michael Vick v.s. Mans best Friend

Fight!

If anyone had it all, it was Michael Vick. This moron is nearly 30 years old, and was one of the NFL (National Football Leagues) greatest players of the new millennium before he threw it all away. Born in Newport News, Virginia this football star struggled though his youth and delinquency, but what youngster didn’t. After becoming a standout  football player in highschool with the Newport News public school system, he was awarded a scholarship to attend Virginia Tech.  From there his career sprouted; starting with an invitation to the 2000 Sugar Bowl. With all the doors opended for him, and his life planned out ahead, Michael left Virginia Tech without graduating after three years to become the top pick in the 2001 NFL Draft. As his career grew, he would fall  into many lucrative endorsments and perks that this man clearly did not deserve. In 2004 he stood to receive a contract for $130 million, making him the highest paid NFL player at the time.
Michael Vick is currently serving a 23 month sentence of incarceration for criminal conspiracy resulting from felonious dog fighting. A U.S. federal district court convicted and sentenced him in 2007, as well as the suspention the NFL has placed on his contract with the Atlanta Falcons. A trial is scheduled for related Virginia state felony charges for his role in the dogfighting ring and possible links related gambling activity. Currently being held in the United States Penitentiary at Leavenworth, Kansas. The biggest problem with this incident is that he will be released from prison having served a negligable amount of time for the crime, and he will one day play football again. A true NFL fan would boycott the entire NFL league and everything it represents so long as this man has any connection to the league.
