eBaum's World: ebaumsworld.com

eBaum's World is a popular website  based on entertainment media such as web games videos, flash cartoons and other comedical acts of such. Ebaumsworld started out of Rochester, New York. The site is co-owned by New York natives, Eric Bauman and father, Neil Bauman. EbaumsWorld contains many anicdotal jokes about current issues in politics or the media.  Their soundboards in which users can click buttons to hear quotes or phrases spoken by a ceritain celebrity, and games can keep one amused for hours. However some scutiny has come over this corporation. Much of the content on ebaumsworld is “purchased” from other animators and publised under the logo of ebaumsworld. In reality it seems the content on the website is taken from other sources without permission and rebranded with the eBaum's World logo. As early as 2003, Eric Bauman had been threatened by legal action by corporations, citing unauthorized use of trademarked names or copyrighted material. One notable case involved the "soundboards" and the audio used within them. In early January of 2006 ebaumsworld made a deal with the Fox Television Studios to create a television program based on eBaum's World. It was described as a late-night special to air with WWE RAW featuring clips from the website, as well as new and exclusive content including interviews with former and current eBaum's World subjects. The Show was to feature special guests and host, but its reign was short lived. Rumors arose that Eric Bauman is now being sued one more time, again for alledgedly stealing material for his personal gain. Fraud or not, no one seems to be able to successfully attack Eric Bauman and his evergrowing comedy forum.
