Webkinz

Webkinz are a line of stuffed animals for children of all ages to enjoy. Created by the Ganz company in 2005, these toys have multiplied and can be seen in many homes in America. These toys have been compared to Beanie Babies since some are retired after a certain amount of time, which creates a higher secondary selling price. Webkinz however are not like any other toy on the market. Webkinz are seemingly ordinary stuffed animals, but these “pets” come with a special code on their labels that allows access to the "Webkinz World.” The Webkinz World opens up the imagination to so many possibilities. By registering the code on the Webkinz website, you begin your adventure in the Webkinz World. Once activated, you adopt your pet in this virtual Webkinz World
Which is an online play “world” with its own economy similar to Millsberry. The user earns money called KinzCash by adopting new pets, playing online games, answering trivia questions, and through fun daily activities like spinning the Wheel of WOW, playing Wishing Well 2,  completing minigames or clicking the "I love my Webkinz!" bar. The actual Webkinz doll can get pricy, so there is a more affordable solution. A smaller versions of the toys called Lil' Kinz have similar features with as much fun. Concerns have been raised about children's use and overuse of the toys. Some worry that children will become addicted to the game. Other parents say that it will only help the kids learn.
